Promoting Health and Safety: MAB Kargo Penang’s Successful Safety Campaign

The Safety Campaign at MAB Kargo Penang, held on 23 December 2024, kicked off with great enthusiasm, setting the stage for a day filled with impactful activities focused on health, safety, and community engagement. Participants from various agencies gathered as the event began with a warm welcome from Mr. Ahmad Fahmi Awang, Senior Manager of Cargo Northern Region MK, and the distribution of breakfast by the organizing committee. The day was officially launched with a safety briefing, followed by the recital of the Doa and Negaraku national anthem. Following this, Mr. Kamal Muhammad, Senior Manager of Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance MK, delivered an inspiring opening speech. The campaign featured a diverse range of activities, including Blood Donation, Basic Health Checks, Stress Tests, and Fire Drill Exercises, all aimed at promoting wellness and safety awareness.

As the day continued, the committee ensured the smooth execution of the event, with lunch packs distributed to all participants and staff at midday. Souvenirs were presented to the agencies by the VIPs in appreciation of their participation. The activities were well-received, with 130 participants registering for the Basic Health Check, 65 for the Blood Donation (successfully collecting 48 bags of blood, exceeding the target of 40 bags), and 30 people taking part in the stress tests. Additionally, 57 participants enjoyed various games, while 60 individuals participated in the Fire Drill Exercise, where 8 volunteers actively used fire extinguishers during the drill.

The Safety Campaign at MAB Kargo Penang was a resounding success, wrapping up with a post-event debrief and housekeeping session that ensured all aspects of the campaign were well-managed.
