MASkargo Starts 2021 With A Successful Charter Flight!

Share

MAB Kargo Sdn. Bhd. (MASkargo) today celebrates the success of its first charter flight for 2021. Flight MH 6431 departed Seoul’s Incheon International Airport (ICN) for Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) with approximately 20tonnes of COVID-19 fighting materials.

It was a feat as the teams involved worked through numerous challenges and the year-end holidays in getting the much-needed goods to its destination. Coordination of the flight involved the Zagreb-based charterer, recipients in Indonesia and MASkargo teams in Kuala Lumpur and Seoul.

As the cargo was temperature-sensitive, the MASkargo team had to ensure that the temperature in the aircraft was maintained at between 15˚C to 25˚C throughout the eleven-hour flight. The aircraft left ICN at 1720LT on 04Jan and touched down in CGK at 0120LT on 05Jan after a two-hour transit in KLIA. This has proven beyond doubt, MASkargo’s capability of carrying time and temperature sensitive products within its network and beyond.

All in, the movement received rave reviews from the charterer who classified the service provided as “top class by the best”. An excerpt of the thank you note from the charterer reads: “Thank you Masita Mohamad Dahalan, Edmund Gunaseelen Victor Gunapalan, Lee Jaejoon, Toti Harmoni Abd Rahman and Raja Kumar Kothandaraman @ MASkargo Malaysia Airlines for your professionalism, support, patience, kindness and for going an extra mile in support to this mission”.

A fabulous start to the new year by everyone involved! May this be followed by more successful charters and shipments.
