MASkargo Rocks Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever World Tour

When news of Billie Eilish Concert in Kuala Lumpur hit the headlines, two things were set in motion. Her fans waited for the queue to snap up tickets to her concert and the MASkargo Team got busy with the paperwork to score the charter bid for Billie Eilish’s concert equipment transportation!

In spite of the tough competition, MASkargo secured the bid and the charter contract was signed on 2 August 2022 to move 36 tonnes of stage equipment on MASkargo’s A330 freighter from Incheon to Kuala Lumpur on 16 August, Singapore to Bangkok on 22 August and Bangkok to Narita 0n 25 August. The movements were clockwork and the flights nailed their OTP in spite of the tight concert schedule at the various locations, impressing the charterer so much that MASkargo was given another leg of movement – from Narita to Auckland on 27 August!

“We are definitely happier than ever! We secured the bid, we coordinated with all the different MAG business units in different countries and we worked meticulously to ensure the operations at all points went smoothly. When the flights took off from one airport, we monitored the flight throughout its flight path until it reached the destination airport and we provided progress reports to our customer. All our attention to detail and hard work paid off as we were given another leg to manage the equipment by the concert’s logistics team!”, said Masita Dahalan, MASkargo’s Charter Manager who tag-teamed with Vasanthakumari Mgk Kurup, Charter Sales Executive, on the success of the project.

In between managing the concert equipment, the ladies were also working on another charter movement for Royal Brunei Airlines. On 23 and 24 August, two units of V2500 engines weighing 4.7 tonnes each were flown from Hong Kong to Bandar Seri Begawan via Kuala Lumpur. Coordination in Hong Kong was detailed by Brian Tam, MASkargo’s Country Manager, keeping everyone in the loop on the progress of the movement. 

All around, it was a host of smiling customers who received the best of services from the MASkargo Charter Team and the supporting business units! Kudos to all.
