MASkargo & MASkargo Logistics Shine at MIHAS 2022 and SIBS2022

Thanks to the MH MICE unit who negotiated Malaysia Airlines as the Official Airline Partner, the MASkargo & MASkargo Logistics Sdn. Bhd. (MLSB) teams were busy promoting their products and services at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS2022) as well as the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS2022) recently.

Held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from 6-9 September, MIHAS is a robust marketplace for both international and local players to seize opportunities beyond Halal food including Halal pharmaceutical, medical devices, finance, modest fashion, personal care and cosmetics, green technologies and even Muslim-friendly tourism.

The Selangor International Business Summit 2022 (SIBS) is the 6th edition of the state government-backed conference and exhibition series since its inception in 2016. Under the theme, Selangor the Gateway to ASEAN, the event brings together global brands and congregating industry players from around the world. SIBS was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center from 6-9 October 2022.

During the exhibitions, the main product featured at the MASkargo booth centers around Halal Logistics while MLSB promoted their trucking and forwarding services. MASkargo Halal Logistics (HAL) offers a comprehensive storage, handling and transportation framework that would give HALAL manufacturers, retailers and freight forwarders the peace of mind. The HAL service comprise of the following:

• Specialized Halal Logistics Process Flow
• Designated Halal-Compliance Warehouse Storage (both common area and cold room)
• Dedicated Halal Team
• Identified Halal ULD (label and marking)

It was an endless stream of visitors to the MASkargo booth during both events. While most were professionals and businessmen inquiring about the services, there were also different groups of logistics students who were piqued about the correlation between Halal and logistics. “These were great business outings after a long absence of activities. There was a continuous visitor flow at our booth exploring business opportunities and possible ventures with MASkargo and MASkargo Logistics. We even had a visit by MATRADE’s Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Mohd Mustafa Abd Aziz and his team during MIHAS while Dato’ Teng Chang Khim, Selangor Exco for Industry and Trade presented a certificate to us at our booth during SIBS”, said Anita Kushairy, MASkargo’s Communications Manager, who coordinated the company’s participation in the show. “Thank you to the MH MICE team for negotiating with the organisers and ultimately enabling MASkargo to be part of these great shows. We managed quite a fair bit of business leads which we will work on materializing. After these successful outings, the MASkargo Team is looking forward to more collaboration with the MH MICE team to further leverage on such events for more business opportunities”.
